On Writing

You have been asleep at the wheel for too long. Time to wake up and start blogging again.

P.s. So I received a phone call about two weeks ago from my brother. He has a blog (see link to the right) and hadn't written anything for a couple of months. He took a look at mine and noticed I hadn't written in over a year. When he called he issued a personal challenge to both of us - Write at least one post a week for the remainder of the year.

So I logged in and tried to type up a post. I really struggled with a topic and putting any substance in it. I wasn't awake yet. This is how writing (and reading) goes for me. I get on a roll, then dry up.

Earlier this week (on Facebook) inspiration hit me. On occasion I write very short letters. They vary on who they are addressed to and the topic is typically something going on at the time. If you missed the one I posted on Facebook here it is:

     Dear Mets,

     There's always next year.

     A Grumpy Cubs Fan

So this is what you will see from me for the most part and I'm hoping as time goes on, they'll get more in-depth.
